Ubud

Of the few places I visited in Bali, Ubud was definitely my favorite. Unfortunately I didn't stay in Bali long enough after the conference to get to stay a few nights in Ubud, but I did visit twice during the day and both times enjoyed roaming around Bali's headquarters for culture and art. Obviously I wasn't the only one who felt this way though, as I saw almost as many foreigners in this inland town as locals, and tourism has already begin to transform the small agricultural villages surrounding Ubud as well. Still, it was a pleasant, peaceful, relaxing place. Somewhere I could go to write a book. If I was ever crazy enough to attempt something like that. This time around I settled for just taking a handful of pictures.
