Tianjin

Tianjin, Beijing's little sister to the east, definitely lacks all the glitter, charm, and insanity that is on offer in Beijing. But that's quickly changing, at least if Tianjin's growing skyline and increase in entertainment venues is any indication. I've only been to Tianjin a handful of times, despite the fact that it is now connected to Beijing by a "bullet train" that has reduced the commute between the two cities to a speedy 30 minutes. I guess there just isn't enough there yet to drag me away from Beijing for more than a day or two, but that may change over the next few years!
